Definitions

Reference for built-in AptStatus values and manage definitions (Appt Confirmed, BillingTypes, etc.) via the OpenDental API Definitions.

Appointment statuses (AptStatus)

These are built-in in OpenDental. They are not stored in the Definitions API—use them when creating/updating appointments (AptStatus).

Status	Description
Scheduled	Standard booked appointment
Complete	Appointment completed
UnschedList	On unscheduled list
ASAP	As soon as possible
Broken	Broken / cancelled
Planned	Planned, not yet scheduled
PtNote	Patient note
PtNoteCompleted	Patient note completed

Definitions API (below)

The List / Create / Update tabs use the Definitions API for other categories (e.g. Appt Confirmed, BillingTypes, AdjTypes, PaymentTypes). Appointment statuses above are not in this API.
