InsSubs (Insurance Subscribers)

Link insurance plans to subscribers (policyholders). Required before PatPlans and Claims. Per OpenDental API.

What are InsSubs in OpenDental?

InsSubs link an Insurance Plan to a Subscriber (the policyholder—usually a patient). One subscriber can be on a plan; family members get coverage through PatPlans that point to this InsSub. Each InsSub stores the SubscriberID (member ID from the insurance company), DateEffective, and authorization flags (ReleaseInfo, AssignBen). Create InsSubs before adding PatPlans or submitting Claims.

Leave all empty to load all InsSubs. Or filter by PlanNum, Subscriber, or fetch single by InsSubNum.
