Create and view statements in the Account Module ledger. Does not impact billing. Per OpenDental API.

What are Statements in OpenDental?

Statements are ledger entries displayed in the patient's Account Module—they record that a statement was sent (mail, email, or via API). Creating a statement does not affect billing or balances; it is for audit and display. Typically filter by PatNum (guarantor). Optional DocNum links to an attached document. Use when you need to log that a patient received a statement, e.g., for compliance or when sending statements through an external system.
